engagement ringThe engagement ring! What an exciting time that was in my life. After dating my husband for awhile he finally popped the question. He can either take you by complete surprise or you have an inkling this was coming. I had an inkling. However it happens though, I have to say, it is one of the best memories I will ever have.

Now, even though I knew it was coming, I was so excited nonetheless. I would day dream about the many ways he would offer up that engagement ring. Would he take me to dinner? Perhaps he would get cold feet and rather than popping the question at dinner he would wait until afterwards and take me to special place. Maybe he would get down on his knees in a snow storm and proposed to me while we were camping. I have to admit my imagination go the better of me! I do think though, that whatever the venue and the mode of action the engagement ring is the beginning of a wonderful new chapter in your life.

I was thrilled that he had taken the time and trouble to research and pick out the stone for the engagement ring himself. I believe it sets a loving and memorable tone for the entire occasion and it just means so much. I am glad we shopped for the wedding rings together. He and I were able to get the rings we wanted and they matched up quite nicely.
